Sustainable Agriculture

DAP is a company that started its operations in Paraguay at the end of 2005, specifically in the San Pedro area. Since then, fully devoted to the production of soybeans and corn, it has become a pioneer in the new agricultural frontier of Paraguay through a sustainable business approach basing its operations basically on a triple line of results.

DAP bases its productive operations on a sustainable model of crop rotation with activities of planting soybeans in spring and corn in autumn (after soybean harvesting-double cultivation per year).

 

 

Soy

The sustained growth of the world population leads to an increasing demand for food. Given this new scenario, in the last five years Paraguay has gained notoriety by becoming one of the main producers of soybeans.

The local production of soybeans has grown steadily, making it the position of the sixth producer and fourth exporter of soybeans globally.

DAP has been a pioneer in the expansion of the agricultural frontier in the north of the country as well as in the production of soybeans in the area. The development and creation of value have accompanied the constant evolution in the number of hectares and production obtained since its creation.

   

 

 

 

Corn

The production system adopted by DAP seeks to achieve the economic and ecological sustainability of the business. For this reason, the production of soybean is complemented by the production of corn. This crop serves as a cover to the soil, allowing it to conserve its nutrients and reduce its degradation.

DAP has produced corn in its farms in the department of San Pedro, since its inception. Although the primary intention was to guarantee sustainability, today the accumulated experience after several campaigns has allowed the production of maize to be, in addition, profitable.
